Amano: Cooperation between Belarus and IAEA has been very intensive

OSTROVETS, 19 April (BelTA) - Cooperation between Belarus and the IAEA has been developing very intensively, IAEA Director General Yukiya Amano told reporters after visiting the Belarusian NPP, BelTA has learned.

“Cooperation between Belarus and the IAEA is very intensive,” Mr Yukiya Amano stressed. He explained that Belarus has already invited several IAEA expert missions. “Leading experts in nuclear energy got acquainted with Belarus’ experience and examined the good practices that have been developed in your country,” he noted.

During these visits, the IAEA makes specific proposals, and, according to the head of the Agency, Belarus pays heed to them.
