Over 15,000 tourists visit Belarusian MTZ in 2023

MINSK, 12 March (BelTA) – In 2023 the Belarusian tractor factory MTZ welcomed over 15,000 tourists, BelTA learned from MTZ Leading Specialist for Industrial Tourism Sergei Sidorovich during an international seminar on industrial tourism.

MTZ started developing industrial tourism in 2017 with one tour per day. “Today we offer four tours per day from Monday to Saturday. Over 15,000 people visited MTZ last year,” Sergei Sidorovich said.

The specialist went on saying: “We will not stop at that. We will continue developing industrial tourism. We intend to go beyond premises of the factory but we have to get certification for that. Apart from that, industrial tourism contributes to the image of our enterprise and helps with career guidance. We introduce kids to future professions, demonstrate what a modern manufacturing enterprise looks like today.”

Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) is one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machines not only in the Commonwealth of Independent States but the entire world. Customers are offered over 100 tractor models in more than 200 modifications for all climatic and operational conditions. New models boast great capabilities with regard to the aggregation of agricultural machines of various manufacturers. MTZ designs, makes, and exports wheel tractors and spare parts, licenses their production abroad, organizes and offers aftersales service for sold vehicles, and offers personnel training with regard to operation and maintenance of the vehicles the company makes.

An international seminar on industrial tourism took place at the Belarusian tractor factory MTZ. Representatives of the Sports and Tourism Ministry, the Industry Ministry, representatives of the tourism industry of Belarus and Russia, other people took part in it. An exhibition of enterprises that practice industrial tourism was arranged at MTZ premises as part of the seminar. A tour of the MTZ museum and manufacturing premises was also arranged for participants of the seminar. A roundtable session on the development of industrial tourism in the Union State of Belarus and Russia was part of the program.
