Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum kicks off in Minsk

MINSK, 11 October (BelTA) – The 21st edition of the Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum has opened in Minsk, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Energy Ministry.

The forum includes the 21st international expo Energy. Ecology. Energy Saving. Electro, the 11th expo Water and Air Technologies, the 12th lighting equipment expo ExpoSvet, and the 21st Belarusian Energy and Ecology Congress.

Since 1995, the forum has been drawing major Belarusian and world’s producers of equipment, technologies and materials for power engineering, ecology, energy conservation and electric engineering. It is one of the largest industry events in the CIS and the Baltic states. This year’s edition of the forum has brought together representatives of some 300 organizations from 14 countries, including Belarus, Austria, Germany, Denmark, Italy, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, the United States, Ukraine, the Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden and Estonia. Partaking in the forum are the leading enterprises of Belarus’ energy sector. The list of participants features such world-famous names as Siemens, ABB, Caterpillar, Wilo, Filter, and others.

The expo showcases stands by the Belarusian Energy Ministry, the Industry Ministry, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Protection, the Housing and Utilities Ministry, the State Science and Technology Committee, and the Energy Efficiency Department of the State Standardization Committee.

The business program includes a plenary meeting, international conferences, workshops, and presentations by participant companies that will demonstrate the latest technological solutions in energy and ecology.

The Belarusian Energy and Ecology Forum aims to promote innovative development of the fuel and energy sector of Belarus. The annual forum provides Belarusian and foreign experts with a platform to strengthen their cooperation and exchange advanced solutions and projects.
