Belarus’ Sasnovich into Jiangxi Open second round

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) – Belarus’ world number 90 Aliaksandra Sasnovich went off to a good start at the Jiangxi Open defeating Slovakia’s world number 113 Viktoria Hruncakova, 6-1, 6-3, to move to the second round, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian will next face world number 146 Valeria Savinykh of Russia. In the doubles opener Aliaksandra Sasnovich and Russia’s Kamilla Rakhimova will take on Georgia’s Oksana Kalashnikova and Japan’s Nao Hibino. Belarus’ Lidziya Marozava and Poland’s Katarzyna Piter will play Australia’s Kimberly Birrell and Ulrikke Eikeri of Norway.

In the ATP Challenger Zhenshen II round of Last 16 Belarus’ world number 397 Egor Gerasimov will face world number 625 Huang Tsung-hao of Hong Kong. In the opener the Belarusian saw off Kazakhstan’s world number 240 Denis Yevseyev, 6-2, 6-2.
