Belarus’ COVID-19 update: 1,981 new cases, 2,903 recoveries

MINSK, 11 November (BelTA) – Belarus confirmed 1,981 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours; another 2,903 coronavirus patients were discharged from hospital, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Healthcare Ministry.

The nationwide coronavirus tally now stands at 621,689. A total of 599,493 patients previously diagnosed with COVID-19 have recovered in Belarus.

As many as 4,805 COVID-19 patients have died since the infection outbreak in Belarus.

All in all, Belarus performed 9,952,851 tests, including 31,490 tests in the past 24 hours.

More than 3,145,000 Belarusians have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Over 2,442,000 of them have already got two shots.

Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich told reporters on 11 November that the vaccination is gathering pace in Belarus. At present about 600,000 doses of the first component of the vaccine are in circulation. Another batch of the Chinese vaccine arrived. More purchases are planned. Everyone who wants to get a shot, will be able to do it, the minister assured.
