Belavia’s rebranding: The first aircraft with a new livery has arrived in Minsk
15 Aug 2016

The first Belavia aircraft bearing the new livery has landed in the Minsk National Airport: the company has officially presented the launch of a large-scale rebranding campaign.

Multiple changes will be implemented across the board: the aircraft fleet will be renewed to completely phase out USSR-made aircraft, consumer services will be adjusted as well as in-flight meals, the official website will become more convenient, tariffs and offers for passengers will be changed… But certainly the company’s new style, which took about two years to develop, is the most noticeable part of the rebranding effort. As of August 2016 new colors and logos will embellish the livery and interiors of the aircraft, crew uniforms, Belavia offices, documents and advertising booklets, souvenirs.

Cornflower is the key part of the new style. It embodies Belarusian national colors and Belavia’s ideas: the heart of the flower stands for home and haven while the petals manifest the feeling of flight and advancement. By the way, for the first time the cornflower was presented several weeks ago as part of the livery of an aircraft branded by Belavia in association with the internationally recognized game World of Tanks.

The aircraft left the manufacturing factory in Seattle, USA bearing the new brand image. This aircraft is the first one of the three Boeing 737-800 aircraft the Belarusian air carrier ordered from Boeing Commercial Airplanes in 2014. The aircraft are the most advanced aircraft in their class. They will offer the largest passenger capacity — 189 people — in Belavia’s aircraft fleet.

A presentation of Belavia’s new company style and the first few photos of the airliner with the cornflower can be found in this report from the airport…
