International Expo Belagro 2016

A record number of companies from 23 countries around the world, leading agribusinesses and equipment manufacturers, innovative solutions and products… 26th International Specialty Expo Belagro opened in Minsk on 7 June.

Belagro is one of Europe’s largest forums in agriculture, and is part of Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week. This year Belagro has a new venue: the former Minsk Airport located within the city limits. The organizers expect that a huge exhibition area (about 30,000 square meters, which is thrice as much as last year), a convenient location and affordable transport will attract a lot more visitors. This year the opening of the expo coincided with the 3rd Belarus-Russia Forum of Regions, which added Belagro 2016 a more eventful, demonstrative and negotiating format.

The stands on display showcase the leaders of the Belarusian mechanical engineering: MTZ, Gomselmash, Amkodor, Belavtomaz… This year Belagro features the latest achievements in the construction sector, companies of the light industry, petrochemical and military and industrial complexes.

A number of big thematic exhibitions are traditionally held as part of the Belarusian Agro-Industrial Week and Belagro. These are Belprodukt (presentation of regional food brands), Belferma (latest advances in cattle breeding and pedigree selection), Prodmash, Food Industry. On the sidelines of the expo, the organizers arranged a tasting contest Champion of Taste, a competition for the title of the best brood cow, a pedigree bird show, and a fishers' village.
