Flowers of Great Victory: an interactive mobile museum

An unusual mobile museum dedicated to Victory Day began its tour around Belarus on 7 May. As part of the project Flowers of Great Victory, the bus has made its maiden round in the capital city to mark the launch of the campaign.
 
The route of the unique mobile museum went through Independence Avenue up to the Minsk Hero City Stele. Here the BRSM Youth Union, the Federation of Trade Unions of Belarus and the Belarusian Public Association of Veterans announced the official start of the nationwide patriotic campaign Mobile Museum "Flowers of Great Victory". The exposition of the museum will be available in the Victory Park, Central House of Officers, and Oktyabrskaya Square in the nearest days.

Exhibits include dummies and miniatures of weapons, elements of outfit, gear and military uniforms, a collection of headgear, military household items, documents and awards. The unique artifacts of the Great Patriotic War include a gramophone, rare LPs with Soviet pre-war songs, a unique map showing the operational situation at the start of the war made manually by Belarusian archaeologist Vladimir Isayenko, rare books and diverse cartographic materials from the series "An Officer's Library" and many more.

Visitors to the exhibition on wheels are promised immersion experience with the help of a virtual movie house with comfortable armchairs-transformers and virtual reality goggles. History will be revived in a three-minute reminiscence video about the Second World War in a panoramic format. The video was created within the framework of the We Remember Everything initiative of the Wargaming company and Patriot Park.

The mobile exposition will then travel to all the oblast capitals of the country. The free-of-charge interactive exposition Year of Native Land will be available in small towns, too.
