Belarus Ushers in 2018: New Year's Night in Belarus

With gifts lovingly packaged, champagne bubbling in a glass, the scent of Christmas tree and tangerines wafting through the air, the Belarusians rang in 2018.

Holiday celebrations on the night of 1 January were held in all cities and towns of Belarus. But the main draw -  a 15-minute musical and pyrotechnic show – lit up the skies of Minsk at 01.30.

The New Year began in Belarus with joyous firework celebrations welcoming 2018, warm smiles, tasty dishes and good wishes.
