Belarus and China: Joint Projects

Despite the geographical distances Belarus and China have been connected by friendly ties for many years. Visits at the top level are regularly exchanged. The two countries have similar views and policies in the international scene. Mutually beneficial economic cooperation advances. There is an interest in the language and culture of the two nations… All the factors have led to strategic partnership, which status is officially recognized. Today in China there are joint ventures established in association with leading Belarusian mechanical engineering brands (BelAZ, MTZ, Gomselmash, MZKT) while dozens of investment projects involving Chinese capital are implemented in Belarus in power engineering, civil engineering, and transport infrastructure. The projects include even the largest joint initiatives that can ever exist – the establishment of the China-Belarus industrial park Great Stone and the factory to make Geely cars.
