MINSK, 26 June (BelTA) – Belarusians managed to create a free and independent country, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said at the informal meeting with the participants of the national ball for university graduates on 26 June, BelTA has learned.
“The main things are our independence and sovereignty. We are free people. We live in an independent country,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.
The President said that the situation in the Belarusian society is calm. “It means that we are worth a lot. Maybe, we have made certain mistakes, maybe, we still need to do a lot, but it means that we have created the country where we will bring up and teach our children. It is our Homeland,” he said.
The President said that he does not want to argue with those who want to go abroad to earn more money and look for a better place under the sun. “I will not argue, but one thing is clear: there will be no other land for you, the land where you were born. People do not choose their Homeland, their native country, their mother. People even do not criticize them. They must cherish these God-given things,” Alexander Lukashenko concluded.
