MINSK, 8 February (BelTA) - Three-time Olympic champion Darya Domracheva overcame whiteout conditions in Nove Mesto to win the women’s pursuit in 35:22.3 with four penalties on 8 February, BelTA has learned.

Darya Domracheva started the race in the fourth position, 23 seconds behind Sprint winner Laura Dahlmeier of Germany. She closed up the gap as she approached the first prone just to have two penalties and fall back to the 12th position, 1.06 minutes behind. Darya Domracheva cleared the second prone and reduced the gap to 56 seconds. The Belarusian was third when she came to the first standing. Heavy snow made her miss one target.
