Belarusian MLRS Polonez among world’s best in 2017
MINSK, 15 August (BelTA) – The Belarusian multiple-launch rocket system (MLRS) Polonez has been named one of the world’s top three MLRSs in 2017 by the YouTube channel Армии Мира (armies of the world), BelTA learned from the website of the State Military Industrial Committee of Belarus.
The YouTube channel has released a video to showcase the world’s top 10 multiple-launch rocket systems. The Belarusian MLRS came third after the Chinese systems AR3 and WS-2D.
The world’s top ten MLRSs also include weapon systems from Israel, Russia, the USA, Turkey, and other countries.
MRLS Polonez is designed to deliver strikes against enemy personnel in the open and in shelters as well as unarmored and armored fighting vehicles and special vehicles, artillery units, missile systems and air defense missile systems, aircraft at airfields. MRLS Polonez can deliver strikes as far as 50-300km with a high degree of precision.
