MINSK, 29 June (BelTA) – Team Ukraine won the Dynamic New Athletics competitions at the 2nd European Games in Minsk, BelTA has learned.
The DNA final features six teams.
Belarus and Ukraine scored 74 each after eight events on the program. Krystsina Tsimanouskaya, Maksim Nedasekau and Elvira Herman won their events. Javelin thrower Tatsiana Khaladovich produced one of the world’s best results, 67.22m.
Ukraine won The Hunt mixed medley relay to claim the overall gold. Germany placed third.
Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko attended the athletic competitions at Dinamo Stadium on 28 June.
The medal ceremony was held by President of the European Olympic Committees Janez Kocijancic.
Earlier, Belarusian field athletes won six medals, including three golds, in the individual events.
