Bezdezhsky Fartushok Museum of Folk Art recreates weaving technique for unique wedding headdress
The Bezdezhsky Fartushok Museum of Folk Art located in Drogichin District, has successfully recreated the lost weaving technique for a unique wedding headdress known as the Pava. This particular wreath was only used in this specific locality during the 1920s-1930s. Museum staff pieced together the method for creating the Pava by interviewing elderly local women, gathering information bit by bit, and meticulously refining their weaving skills. The museum also conducts an authentic ceremony for adorning a bride, recreating the traditional ritual.
