The world-level stadium Borisov Arena is a new home to Belarus’ famous football club BATE Borisov. The official opening ceremony was attended by Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko who expressed admiration for the work of the creators of this unique sport facility. An unusual "cosmic" form of the arena, carefully manicured grass, cutting-edge watering and heating systems, comfortable seats, huge screens, sophisticated infrastructure make the atmosphere incredible for both players and fans. Borisov Arena seats 13,000 people. For now it is the country’s only stadium that meets the UEFA 4 Category requirements and is able to host any European competitions, including the Champions League and the Europa League. The President presented a symbolic key to Borisov Arena to young footballers from FC BATE. Alexander Lukashenko got familiar with the infrastructure, functional and technical potential of the stadium, talked to the FC BATE Borisov coach and players. The first to try the new stadium were the Belarus Cup finalists – Neman Grodno and Shakhtyor Soligorsk. Video
