MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – The Chinese government will keep expanding cooperation with Belarus, President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Viktor Burya, BelTA learnt from the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Beijing.
Viktor Burya congratulated Xi Jinping on his election as President of China. The diplomat noted that Belarus values friendly ties with China and hopes that they will grow even stronger.
Xi Jinping thanked the Belarusian diplomat and noted that Belarus and China have developed close ties. He emphasized that he remembers very well his visit to Belarus in 2010 and that the visit was very successful.
Viktor Burya took part in the meeting of China’s new leaders - President Xi Jinping, Premier of China and party secretary of the State Council Li Keqiang and Vice-President of China Li Yuanchao – with heads of embassies and offices of international organizations accredited in Beijing. Taking part in the meeting were State Councilor of the State Council of China (former Foreign Minister) Yang Jiechi and new Foreign Minister
Wang Yi.
