Vitaly Busko: The visit of the Belarus president to Kazakhstan will advance economic relations

MINSK, 7 October (BelTA) – The recent visit of the Belarus president to Kazakhstan will give an impulse to the advancement of economic relations between the two countries, BelTA learned from Vitaly Busko, Deputy Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

Vitaly Busko noted: “Our businessmen are interested in investing in projects in Kazakhstan and the Kazakhstani desire to invest in our projects. Therefore, the visit was an impulse to the advancement of economic relations between our countries”.

The MP said that integration trends are clearly visible in various parts of the world. “We are now getting closer to the Eurasian Economic Union. Instead of making a step back we should advance. It is the key task of this integration project,” he remarked. Vitaly Busko pointed out that the highest level of integration has been reached with another partner in the Customs Union – Russia. Belarusian-Kazakh relations also develop rapidly. Belarus-Kazakhstan trade turnover stands at $1 billion.

During the visit several agreements were made and have to be developed. The MP remarked that those concern not only supplies of Belarusian machines, in which the Kazakhstani side is interested. “The assembly production of our machines develops in Kazakhstan rather seriously now,” he added.
