Tozik: Governments of Belarus, China busy working on all-round strategic partnership

MINSK, 1 October (BelTA) – The Governments of Belarus and China are busy working on the content of the all-round strategic partnership, Vice Premier of Belarus Anatoly Tozik said at a meeting to mark the 65th anniversary of the foundation of the People’s Republic of China, BelTA has learned.

“China is a good friend and reliable partner for Belarus,” the Vice Premier noted. He emphasized a high level of the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation. “The leaders of the two countries have built up the Belarusian-Chinese relations at the level of all-round strategic partnership, and the Governments of Belarus and China have embarked on filling it with projects and programs,” Anatoly Tozik stressed.

The Belarusian official named openness and trust among the main features of the present-day bilateral relations. “We can discuss any matter, advise each other on any issue, share experience,” the Vice Premier said. He underlined the importance of recommendations of economic and financial experts of China who paid a visit to Belarus in May 2014.

Anatoly Tozik drew attention to the momentum in the Belarusian-Chinese cooperation in all areas: trade and investment, science and technology, education and culture, security and other areas of cooperation.

The amount of contacts between the two countries has also increased. For instance, an official visit of First Vice Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China, member of the Politburo Standing Committee of the Communist Party of China Zhang Gaoli has just completed to Belarus.

Anatoly Tozik stressed that the two countries have done a lot during this year thanks to joint efforts. The parties launched the construction of the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park and held the first meeting of the intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation. According to the Vice Premier, Belarus and China have big prospects in all-round cooperation.
