MOLODECHNO, 7 June (BelTA) - The National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry in Molodechno can go international in 2014, Culture Minister of Belarus Boris Svetlov told reporters on 7 June.
According to the Minister, giving international status to the festival will be the next step in its development. “When representatives of at least three states take part in the festival, then it will gain international status. If all goes well, it could happen in 2014,” said Boris Svetlov.
He also noted that every festival that is held in the Republic of Belarus demonstrates the country’s cultural potential. “We have a great future. Festivals give a jumpstart to the careers of young artists,” the Minister stressed.
The National Festival of Belarusian Song and Poetry in Molodechno was held on 7-8 June. The event opened with a gala concert of the National Academic Concert Orchestra "20 Years Together with Molodechno!" Around 20 cultural events were held across the town during the festival.
