Ryzhenkov: Belarus promises high organizational level for 2015 AMF Futsal World Cup

MINSK, 16 April (BelTA) - Belarus is ready for the 2015 AMF Futsal World Cup and promises to hold it at the high organizational level, the chairman of the organizing committee of the tournament, First Vice President of the National Olympic Committee, Assistant to the President for Physical Education and Sport Maksim Ryzhenkov told a press conference, BelTA has learned.

Maksim Ryzhenkov said that Belarus will hold the tournament in five cities, namely, Minsk, Brest, Pinsk, Molodechno, and Borisov, in order to show off the sports facilities. The organizers of the World Cup also promise to show the Belarusian hospitality as it was a year ago, during the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. The organizers are preparing the so-called zone of hospitality for fans and sightseeing tours. Maksim Ryzhenkov also informed that all the issues regarding the preparations for the World Cup are settled promptly, taking into account the experience of the 2014 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship. He also said that the fans show a keen interest in the matches of the tournament, especially with the participation of the Belarus national team and medal games which will be held at Minsk Arena. About 40,000 tickets have been sold already which accounts for almost 80% of the total.

The opening match of the 2015 AMF Futsal Men’s World Cup will be held at Minsk Arena on 17 April at 19:00. An opening ceremony a half an hour before the opening match.
