“I am very interested in Belarus. I took interest in your country when I was the president of the European Commission in Brussels. And Belarus should be more involved in European structures. I believe that some disunity that exists between the European Union and Belarus now should be overcome,” noted Romano Prodi.
The former prime minister of Italy said that he had arrived in Belarus as a university professor. “I study international relations and I was invited to read a lecture in the Belarusian State University. I agreed because it involves my scientific interests. I am interested in problems of small and medium business, of industrial economy,” he explained.
