Rapota: Union State takes its place in the world integration structure

MINSK, 10 June (BelTA) – The Union State of Russia and Belarus takes its place in the world integration structure, State Secretary of the Union State Grigory Rapota said opening the 9th Belarusian international media forum “Partnership for the Future: Realities of the Global World” on 10 June, BelTA has learned.

In his words, the modern world has developed a certain integration structure: various blocs representing different interests. They join many countries. Among them is the UN, the EU, the CIS, SCO, CSTO, the EurAsEC and others. Not long ago the Eurasian Economic Union Treaty was signed by Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan. “The Union State of Russia and Belarus takes its place in this structure,” Grigory Rapota said.

According to the State Secretary, the State Union project has not been implemented in full, but has made great progress. “The project created an atmosphere where Russian and Belarusian people do not feel foreigners to each other while staying on the territory of the other state,” he said and added that there are practically no boundaries between the two partners and a number of agreements has been signed in various areas.
