According to Piotr Prokopovich, the trade and economic relations between Belarus and Serbia have recently entered a qualitatively higher level. According to the Vice Premier, Belarus’ membership in the Eurasian Economic Union and Serbia’s prospects in the EU may promote it. “We should use every chance to maximally build up our bilateral relations. We should take a joint niche on these markets,” Piotr Prokopovich stressed.

Industry Minister of Belarus Dmitry Katerinich told the forum participants about the instruments of stimulating the Belarusian export, including the measures of export credit support, leasing, advantages of the current free trade regime.

Dmitry Katerinich emphasized Belarus’ interest in FDI and expressed the readiness of Belarusian partners to invest in the development of Serbian companies with a view of joint advancement to new markets and expanding their presence on the current sales outlets. “We are ready to bring investments to this market, setting up assembly plants with a high level of localization,” he said.
