Poroshenko: Slavonic Bazaar promotes ideals of humanism and peace

VITEBSK, 10 July (BelTA) – The International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk has a powerful creative potential, helps promote the ideals of humanism and peace, the message of greetings to the guests and participants of the 23rd International Festival of Arts Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk from President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko reads. The message was read out by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to Belarus Mikhail Yezhel at the opening ceremony of the festival, BelTA has learned.

Slavonic Bazaar occupies a prominent place among international music forums, reads the message of greetings. “The festival in Vitebsk has a powerful creative potential, helps promote the ideals of humanism and peace. We all are united in our love for songs. Ukrainian singers have always felt the hospitality of the Belarusians, won the Slavonic Bazaar song contest several times displaying rich cultural traditions and national color. Let the festival’s motto “Through Art to Peace and Understanding” contribute to the spiritual enrichment of our cultures, unity of the nations, interstate dialogue. I wish you peace, kindness and happiness,” the message from Petro Poroshenko reads.
