MINSK, 2 June (BelTA) - Pope Francis hopes that the 4^th European Orthodox-Catholic Forum which is taking place in Minsk on 2-6 June will promote friendly relations and unity, runs the message of State Secretary of the Vatican Cardinal Pietro Parolin on behalf of the Pope which was read at the opening ceremony of the forum on 2 June, BelTA has learned.

Pope Francis also expressed hope that the freedom of religion in its every aspect will be guaranteed in Europe. The Pope sent his sincere blessings to the participants of the Minsk forum.
