Nazarbayev: Documents signed during CIS summit will facilitate further cooperation

MINSK, 10 October (BelTA - KAZINFORM) - The documents signed during the CIS summit lay the basis for further cooperation, Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at a briefing following the session of the CIS Council of Heads of State on 10 October, BelTA learned from the Akordy press service.

Nursultan Nazarbayev noted that the session was a fruitful one as a number of important documents were signed. “These documents lay a good foundation for further development of cooperation between the CIS countries. During our Presidency in the CIS in 2015 we will continue exploring its potential,” Kazakhstan President said.

He also emphasized that the country is going to follow the principle of continuity in its work. “We have to incrementally expand cooperation in all fields, including security, economy, and humanitarian affairs,” Nursultan Nazarbayev noted. He also said that the decisions made coupled with the documents signed during the summit will become a significant contribution to further development of cooperation between the CIS countries.
