Nazarbayev describes Minsk summit as productive

MINSK, 27 August (BelTA) – The meeting of the leaders of the Customs Union, Ukraine and the EU high representatives which took place in Minsk on 26 August, will bring results, Kazakhstani President Nursultan Nazarbayev said at Minsk National Airport on 27 August. Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko came to see off his Kazakhstani counterpart, BelTA has learned.

“This important event has gained world attention. This meeting was much anticipated and I think there will be results,” Nursultan Nazarbayev said. He stressed the fact that the parties launched a negotiation process, which is very important in the present situation. The President of Kazakhstan also hailed the level of organization of the meeting.

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko came to see off his Kazakhstani counterpartNursultan Nazarbayev was the last participant of the talks to leave Belarus. The Kazakhstan leader expressed gratitude for a warm welcome.
