Myasnikovich promises new format for Belarus-Roscosmos cooperation plans

MINSK, 27 June (BelTA) – Plans for cooperation between Belarusian companies and Roscosmos will be implemented on a conceptually new basis, Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich stated as he met with Head of the Federal Space Agency of Russia (Roscosmos) Vladimir Popovkin on 27 June.

According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, cooperation with Roscosmos has commercial benefits and bears importance for the national policy. Cooperation is supported at the governmental level. “It is a guarantee that our plans will be implemented on an absolutely new basis,” the Prime Minister of Belarus said.

“As a result we are reaching the level of property relations of our joint companies as well as our future joint ventures,” Mikhail Myasnikovich added.

According to the PM, there is a need to discuss the issues of integration with Belarus’ Peleng and what pertains to a new satellite constellation. The parties will talk over the existing grouping as well as the satellite constellation that is to be introduced in some 3-5 years.
