According to the head of government, the success of Belarusian-Lithuanian cooperation largely hinges upon the normalization of the Belarusian-European relations. Quite an active dialogue with the European Union is ongoing. There are already a number of positive decisions by Brussels. "We hope that the next step would be the lifting of the restrictions on the movement of capital, and this will be the logical decision. We discussed this issue during the Belarus-USA investment forum recently held in New York. There is an understanding that steps should be taken towards lifting all restrictions in the work with the Belarusian financial institutions and other organizations,” said Mikhail Myasnikovich.

According to the Prime Minister, there is every reason to believe that European partners have realized that the policy of sanctions and ultimatums is absolutely hopeless. You cannot build normal relations this way. "We view the future of the Belarusian-Lithuanian relations including through the improvement of ties with the united Europe," he said.
