Mikhnevich: Belarus seeks investors with efficient, innovative technologies

MINSK, 14 November (BelTA) – Belarus is waiting for investors with sophisticated, highly efficient, and innovative technologies, Belarus' First Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Mikhnevich said during the Belarus-UK investment forum in London on 14 November, BelTA has learned.

“I believe that Belarus needs investors with sophisticated, highly efficient, and innovative technologies,” Alexander Mikhnevich emphasized. He said that the highly qualified and skilled workforce is one of Belarus’ main advantages.

Come to Belarus with big interesting ideas, you will find understanding here. We will speak the same language, and this will help us implement these ideas, Alexander Mikhnevich said.

He noted that the investors in the relatively small market of the Republic of Belarus get access to the vast market of the fledgling Eurasian Economic Union. Alexander Mikhnevich pointed out that each of the four EEU member states has its advantages. He added that Belarus is the most advanced country in the EEU in terms of innovations. It has managed to preserve its industry and develop its science. “We boast one of the most efficient agricultural sectors among the countries of the former Soviet Union,” Alexander Mikhnevich noted.
