MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Belarus and the European Union have come really close to the possibility of signing agreements on readmission and visa facilitation, Belarus’ Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Oleg Kravchenko said at the 16th Minsk Forum opening ceremony on 22 November, BelTA has learned.
“We continue working on the draft partnership priorities, although the work is proceeding not as easy as we all would like it to be. We have come really close to the possibility of signing agreements on readmission and visa facilitation. I hope that this package will not end up in the same situation which, unfortunately, we have with the draft partnership priorities at the moment,” said the deputy minister.
Speaking about the future cooperation between Belarus and the EU, Oleg Kravchenko expressed the opinion that the conclusion of the Belarus-EU Partnership Priorities agreement should be a central element of joint efforts.
