MINSK, 3 June (BelTA) – The Orthodox and Catholics learn mutual trust in a dialogue, Metropolitan Filaret, Patriarchal Exarch Emeritus of All Belarus said at the opening of the 4th edition of the European Orthodox-Catholic Forum “Religion and cultural pluralism: challenges for Christian churches in Europe” on 2 June, BelTA has learned.
“I believe the main achievement of the Orthodox-Catholic consultations is not even that we find common ground on various problems but learn to trust each other,” the Metropolitan said.
In his words, the forum touches upon the issues significant for the European community. The Metropolitan called upon everyone to be attentive and patient as well as permanent in the wish to understand and be understood.
