MINSK, 1 November (BelTA) - China is in favor of an even higher level of strategic partnership with Belarus, Meng Jianzhu, a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the secretary of the Commission for Political and Legal Affairs of the CPC Central Committee, a member of the State Council of China, said as he met with Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko in Minsk, BelTA learned.

"I fully share your view that we need to raise the strategic partnership between China and Belarus to a new level," said Chinese visitor, addressing the Belarusian head of state.

Meng Jianzhu conveyed Alexander Lukashenko sincere greetings from the President of the People’s Republic of China "who praised the great success of the Belarusian President's visit to China this summer.”

"The President of the People’s Republic of China also attaches great importance to your proposal to strengthen the cooperation in ensuring security of information exchange,” said Meng Jianzhu.

Meng Jianzhu stressed that he came to Minsk on the instructions of the President of the People’s Republic of China to implement the arrangements reached during the visit of Alexander Lukashenko to Beijing, with the aim of further development of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
