Makei: Belarus seeks stronger all-round cooperation with Malaysia

MINSK, 19 August (BelTA) – Belarus hopes to strengthen cooperation with Malaysia in every area, Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei said as he met with Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of Malaysia, Head of the Malaysian-Belarusian Parliamentary Friendship Group Ronald Kiandee on 19 August, BelTA has learned.

The Foreign Minister of Belarus stressed that there are plans to discuss new promising cooperation areas with the Malaysian delegation. In his words, Belarus values highly the visit of the representatives of the Malaysian parliament to Minsk and hopes to build up the Belarusian-Malaysian cooperation as a result of the visit.

“We hope that good contacts between the two parliaments will promote bilateral contacts,” Vladimir Makei said.

He also expressed condolences over the crash of the Malaysian plane in Donetsk Oblast in July.
