MINSK, 29 April (BelTA) - Belarus should be made attractive to wealthy people from around the world, Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko said in his annual address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly on 29 April, BelTA has learned.
"We need to think over how to make Belarus attractive to wealthy people from around the world. I instruct the Government, the Parliament, and the National Bank to undertake an in-depth analysis of global developments in this area, and to take stock of the legislation that we have,” he said.
The President also instructed to submit a package of systemic proposals on the development and effective functioning of the financial market and its regulator. "We need to think what could be done to draw capital out of shade and into our economy and to make Belarus a major regional financial center,” Alexander Lukashenko said.
