MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has sent his greetings to the personnel of the National Academic Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theater which celebrates the 80th anniversary of founding, BelTA learned from the president’s press service.

“The theater is our pride and a true national treasure. Its history is full of bright discoveries, unforgettable performances and unflagging creative energy of renowned masters who have made the Belarusian art world famous,” the message of greetings reads.

“Today, as well as decades ago, the Bolshoi theater remains loyal to high esthetic ideals of academic art and remains amazingly modern, open for bold experiments and innovative artistic solutions. A great number of famous artists and young talents successfully cope with the most difficult artist challenges,” Alexander Lukashenko stressed.

The head of state is convinced that the personnel of the theater will continue serving selflessly the Belarusian culture, enriching its treasury with stunning premiers and revealing new starts.
