MINSK, 23 March (BelTA) – No serious violations of the electoral law were reported during the elections, Secretary of the Central Election Commission of Belarus Nikolai Lozovik told reporters on 23 March, BelTA learned.

Nikolai Lozovik underlined that "neither the voters nor the observers filed any complaints and petitions, which would indicate serious violations of the electoral code. There were some irregularities. “These were mainly organizational drawbacks, in particular, the inaccurate information in the voters’ lists. There was one instance when a voter was registered twice – according to his the old and the new place of residence,” said Nikolai Lozovik. These flaws will have no influence on the election results,” Nikolai Lozovik said.

The Secretary of the Central Election Commission defined a formula for success for the candidate: "The main thing is that this man is respected, his deeds are known to people. The voters must be sure that the candidate is a man of his word and can be counted on."

“The campaign was held in a routine mode. Cities and districts of the country promised to make the election day a holiday. On the voting day amateur and professional artists gave concerts, retail stalls were organized near the polling stations. The weather was wonderful, which also contributed to the high good turnout,” Nikolai Lozovik said.
