Liliya Ananich: Mass Media in Belarus viewed as expo platform for Russian regions

MINSK, 23 April (BelTA) – The international Mass Media in Belarus expo has become a landmark expo platform for regions of Russia, First Deputy Information Minister Liliya Ananich told reporters.

“Today we are proud to be a landmark platform for a big number of regions of the Russian Federation,” said Liliya Ananich. She noted that Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod have their stands at the expo. Representatives of Moscow media outlets will participate in master classes at the School of Journalism of Belarusian State University on 24 April.

Attending the expo are also such countries as China, India, Cuba, Venezuela. "These countries demonstrate not only their press but also its information attitude towards Belarus which partner-like and respectful," said Liliya Ananich.

The expo features nearly 600 publications. “Belsoyuzpechat is also on display here,” the First Deputy Minister added. In her words, the Gorky Park in Minsk will play host to the day of the press on 9 May. “Mass media outlets will reach out to meet with their readers and audience,” she said.

The 17th international Mass Media in Belarus expo and the 20th international forum on telecommunications, information and banking technologies TIBO-2013 are taking place in Minsk on 23-26 April. Among the organizers are the Communications and Information Technology, the Information Ministry, ZAO Techniques and Communication.
