MOSCOW, 15 November (BelTA) – Minsk will supply more goods to Moscow, Minsk mayor Nikolai Ladutko said when opening the fair of Minsk enterprises as part of the Days of Minsk in Moscow on 15 November. The fair has been deployed at the main entrance to the All-Russia Exhibition Center, BelTA learned.
“We produce goods at affordable prices and of good quality. There should be more Belarusian-made goods in Moscow,” said Nikolai Ladutko. The head of integration cooperation at the Moscow administration Sergei Shmakov said that Belarusian fairs have become commonplace in the Russian capital. Last year alone Moscow hosted 314 Belarusian fairs which sold $18 million worth of goods. "These fairs are popular with Muscovites, and they vote for Belarusian products with their wallets," said Sergei Shmakov.
Belarusian fairs have also opened in the southern districts of the Russian capital, as part of the Days of Minsk in Moscow. They traditionally sell meat, dairy and fish products, pastries, and light industry products and handicrafts. They also offer tastings of dishes of the national cuisine. Samples of road and construction machinery made by the Minsk-based companies are showcased in open-air sites.
