MINSK, 1 April (BelTA) – There are plans to organize an exhibition in Rome to mark the 70^th anniversary of the Khatyn tragedy, Metropolitan of Minsk and Mogilev, Archbishop Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz told BelTA.

Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz stressed that there are many areas of cooperation between the church and the state, including cultural and charity issues. In his words, the world should remember the tragedy that took place in Belarus 70 years ago.

Today the Metropolitan is expected to meet with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko. According to Tadeusz Kondrusiewicz, such meetings give an opportunity to discuss further development of the relations between the Roman Catholic Church and the state.
