Kazakhstan, Belarus committed to implementing top-level agreements

MINSK, 11 December (BelTA) – The visit of Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko to Kazakhstan in October 2013 was very fruitful and gave a new impulse to the mutually beneficial Belarusian-Kazakh cooperation. The statement was made by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to Belarus Ergaly Bolegenov at a press conference on 11 December, BelTA has learned.

The Ambassador said that top-level visits between Belarus and Kazakhstan had become a tradition. Largely thanks to good, trusting, and friendly relations between Alexander Lukashenko and Nursultan Nazarbayev Belarusian-Kazakh ties develop so fast, said the head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission. In his words, the meeting of the two leaders in Astana in October 2013 gave a new impulse to the bilateral cooperation. “Negotiations between the two presidents were held in a very friendly atmosphere. The key thing is that very important agreements were signed that will foster the enabling of even better terms for promoting contacts between Belarus and Kazakhstan,” said Ergaly Bolegenov.

In his words, now both countries are working to implement the agreements that have been reached at the top level. In particular, as far as the establishment of Belarusian-Kazakh industrial park is concerned, Kazakhstan has already allocated a land plot of about 6ha and new facilities are being installed. Both sides have already picked out the participants for this new agricultural project, including Lidselmash, Bobruiskagromash, MTZ, and MAZ as well as other companies on the Belarusian side.
