Harutyun Khachatryan: Listapad features world’s best films

MINSK, 12 November (BelTA) – The 21st Minsk International Film Festival Listapad has brought together the best films from around the world, Director General of the Yerevan Golden Apricot International Film Festival, film director Harutyun Khachatryan said at the roundtable session arranged during the Listapad festival on 12 November, BelTA has learned.

Harutyun Khachatryan noted that he had been to Minsk four times, of which three times he came for the Listapad festival. “The festival has become very interesting, in particular in recent years. The festival boasts a brilliant collection of films. One can see here the best films from around the world,” he said.

The renowned film director added that Listapad is no longer a local event. It is now well-known in the entire post-Soviet space. “The festival is about your country, art and culture,” he said.

Minsk is hosting the 21st edition of the Listapad film festival on 7-14 November. The main organizer of the festival is the center of visual and performing arts "ART Corporation”. Founders are the Belarusian Culture Ministry, the Minsk City Hall, with the participation of the Belarusian TV and Radio Company, National Film Studio Belarusfilm, Belarusian Union of Cinematographers.
