The degree of information technologies penetration in Belarus is way ahead of that in Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan and still there is a huge potential for introducing innovations in the area of information technologies, said Pavel Gontarev.

OAO Gazprom Transgaz Belarus and SOOO Belwest are now busy introducing the SAP HANA solution. The service allows raising one’s business to new heights. Starting next year the two companies plan to switch their corporate databases to the SAP HANA platform, said Director of the SAP representation in Belarus Andrei Goryainov.

Gazprom Transgaz Belarus intends to use the SAP HANA platform to start a complex project to manage finance, logistics, and equipment repairs. Belwest Company has embarked upon assimilating cloud-computing technologies to automate business processes and the operation of the retail chain, said Andrei Goryainov.

Belarusian IT companies offer the localization of SAP corporate solutions on the Belarusian market. These applications will be tuned to match the country’s legislation, including accounting regulations.
