MINSK, 8 April (BelTA) – Judiciary addresses tasks of nationwide importance, therefore it should embrace the latest in technology, Chairman of the Belarusian Supreme Court Valentin Sukalo said in an interview with the Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
The matter was brought up during the session to discuss ways to improve the work of general courts. The Belarusian head of state who hosted the session gave an instruction to digitalize the judicial system up to the regional and even district levels.
“We will do our best to update and speed up the work of judiciary. We have a corresponding program and a plan,” Valentin Sukalo said.
It was noted that the Belarusian judicial system has earned the trust of local residents and business people from the neighboring states who go to Belarusian courts to defend their legal interest. “In international rankings, Belarus’ judicial system is ranked high among post-Soviet countries. These are objective criteria of specialists. I think we can be proud of it,” the chairman of the Supreme Court said.
