KLAIPEDA, 18 April (BelTA) – Lithuania is ready to help Belarus on its way of revitalizing relations with the European Union, Lithuanian Premier Algirdas Butkevicius said at the Belarusian-Lithuanian economic forum in Klaipeda on 18 April.
“Belarus has a potential of developing relations with the EU,” the Lithuanian PM stressed. He believes Lithuania can be viewed as a gateway to the European Union for Belarus. Lithuania’s Presidency in the EU will provide a good opportunity for revitalizing relations between the EU and Belarus. “Lithuania is ready to help Belarus on this path,” Algirdas Butkevicius added.
