MINSK, 10 October (BelTA) - The CIS platform cannot be replaced by any other format, Kyrgyzstan President Almazbek Atambayev said during the session of the CIS Council of Heads of State on 10 October, BelTA has learned.

“We have clearly seen that at the moment the CIS platform cannot be replaced by any other format. Those who reject this platform due to some reasons do harm, first of all, themselves,” Almazbek Atambayev noted.

The Kyrgyzstan President thanked the Belarusian side and President Alexander Lukashenko for the warm welcome, hospitality, and wonderful organization of the summit. “Of course, I cannot but say about my impression of Minsk. The city is very beautiful, the same I can say about the Belarusian nature,” he said.

Almazbek Atambayev also praised Belarus’ achievements during its Presidency in the CIS.
