MINSK, 8 July (BelTA) - Parliamentary cooperation between Belarus and China will develop progressively, Chairman of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus Vladimir Andreichenko said as he met with Chairperson of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the National People's Congress of the People's Republic of China Fu Ying in Minsk on 8 July, BelTA has learned.

According to Vladimir Andreichenko, over the past 20 years China has become one of the world powers, and in today's world the People's Republic of China has a great future. Addressing Ms Fu Ying, Vladimir Andreichenko praised her diplomatic skills. "I am sure that our cooperation will continue to develop progressively," he said.

Ms Fu Ying said that during the visit to Belarus the parliamentary delegation of China has two objectives: to hear suggestions for future cooperation and to exchange views on the international situation. According to Ms Fu Ying, who is the Chairperson of the Belarusian-Chinese friendship group at the NPC of the 12th convocation, she is interested in bolstering trade and economic ties between the two states. "On arrival in Belarus we organized a special forum where we invited all Chinese enterprises operating in Belarus. There is interest and a lot of opportunities for the implementation of various projects. But still we need to optimize our work even more,” she said.
