Alyona Lanskaya: My dream has come true and I am happy

MALMO, 19 May (BelTA) – Belarus’ contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 Alyona Lanskaya, who has finished in the 16th place in the Grand Final, thinks that her performance was a success. While speaking to the media after the final show she said she is happy because her childhood dream to take part in the Eurovision Song Contest has come true, BelTA has learnt.

“I am happy. My dream has come true. I have been dreaming about the Eurovision for many years,” Alyona Lanskaya said adding that she is grateful to the entire team for their help in preparation for the contest. “I have been working with a perfect team. I have never seen such unity and mutual understanding. We tried to do our best and we have achieved a high result,” Alyona Lanskaya stressed.

The journalists asked Alyona Lanskaya to comment on the fact that in 2013 Russia had not given any points to Belarus. The Belarusian singer noted: “The contest is extremely unpredictable, so one needs to be ready for everything.”

BelTA asked Alyona Lanskaya whether she is ready to take part in the Eurovision next year. She replied: “I have to think it over. We have been getting ready for the Eurovision for six months. The working day is over! Now I need a rest.”

“Eurovision is a landmark event in my life. For me it is a tremendous journey and now it has come to an end,” Alyona Lanskaya said. She added that she is “ready for new discoveries.” “I have plans to give a big concert. I have recorded a new album in English in London and it will be released in the nearest time. I have a lot of new ideas and I am ready for experiments. Life goes on for me,” Alyona Lanskaya underscored.
