Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk 2015 to feature interactive theatrical projects

VITEBSK, 2 March (BelTA) - Interactive theatrical projects will help create the festive atmosphere at the Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk 2015, Yulia Vajlunova-Shinkevich, the head of PR and advertising of the Vitebsk culture center, told BelTA.

The 24th edition of the international arts festival Slavonic Bazaar in Vitebsk 2015 will be held from 9 to 13 July. Additional activities are scheduled for 7, 8, 14 and 15 July. Traditionally, the main events will be the opening and closing concerts of the festival, the day of the Union State which will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory, and the international song contest. The Vitebsk culture center aims to support the festive atmosphere in the city with additional cultural projects, one of which will be a sequel to The Doll Quarter project, said Yulia Vajlunova-Shynkevich.

This project was first presented in 2014 as a one-off event before the show in the Lyalka puppet theater and was well received by the public. Therefore, in 2015 the organizers will offer the Seven Winds fest of street theaters, musicians, artists and poets which will feature interactive performances, appearances and performances. Young residents and guests of Vitebsk will enjoy an entertainment program during the draw of the international children's drawing competition.

The preparatory phase is on track to be completed: the organizing committee has been approved, a plan of preparations for the festival signed. The Summer Amphitheatre is expected to host 17 concerts, including 2 night concerts. The festival tickets will soon go on sale in the ticket offices and online.
